FCT Lawmaker Advocates Removing Constituency Projects from National Assembly Duties

Hon. Obika Chinedu, representing the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the FCT, has urged the removal of constituency projects from the National Assembly's responsibilities.

He stressed the importance of lawmakers concentrating on their core duties of lawmaking and oversight. Chinedu highlighted the challenges faced by the Assembly, including high public expectations and numerous demands.

He disclosed the approval of a record N1.8 trillion for the 2025 FCT budget, emphasizing the need for proper fund management. Despite reaffirming loyalty to the Labour Party, Chinedu acknowledged defections among lawmakers but emphasized commitment to the party's ideals.
