Wike Prioritizes Infrastructure Completion in Abuja

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), spoke during his monthly media parley in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, asserting that his administration prioritizes the completion of infrastructure projects over merely awarding contracts. He attributed the progress in the FCT to a clear direction, prioritization, and commitment to project delivery.

Wike referenced his extensive public service experience, including his time as chairman of a local government council and as Minister of State for Education, where he gained recognition for his performance. He also highlighted his tenure as governor of Rivers State, during which he implemented numerous infrastructure projects despite facing political challenges.

Wike stated that the performance of the FCT Administration should be evaluated based on the impact of completed projects on residents, rather than political rhetoric. He expressed that his greatest satisfaction would come from witnessing the continued development of Abuja and the benefits of these projects for its residents.
