Wike Highlights Achievements as FCT Minister in Three Years

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), emphasized that the hallmark of his three-year tenure has been the revival and completion of capital projects that were abandoned under previous administrations. During an inspection of major infrastructure projects in Abuja, Wike reflected on the achievements made since he assumed office on August 21, 2023.

He announced that the FCT Administration would publish a comprehensive report documenting projects completed and initiated during his tenure, including those inherited and newly awarded. Wike expressed satisfaction with the progress made, stating that his administration prioritized aggressive infrastructure delivery, urban renewal, and the completion of critical projects to improve Abuja's narrative.

He noted that despite initial challenges, his team remained committed to their mandate, and the residents of the FCT could attest to the positive changes. Wike highlighted that many projects had been revived and completed, some dating back to 1999, and expressed pride in his contributions to the development of the FCT.
