FCT Police Arrest 10 Suspected Vandals in Abuja Operations

In a concerted effort to protect public infrastructure within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), operatives of the FCT Police Command arrested ten suspected vandals during separate operations in Kubwa, Wuye, and near the National Mosque. On September 2, 2026, at approximately 6:00 pm, a patrol team from Kubwa Division apprehended suspects Goodname Oriarebun, 29; Timothy Donald, 28; Ayo Buli, 26; Emmanuel Elijah, 28; and Christian David, 28, who were vandalising armoured cables in Bazango-Kubwa.

Additionally, a patrol team from Wuye Division arrested Moses Luka while he was digging out armoured cables between Magic Land and National Stadium. A surveillance team from Wuse Division captured four suspects—Musa Abdullahi, Suleiman Idris, Aliyu Isa, and Muhammed Abdulrahman—after they attempted to vandalise a solar-powered street light near the National Mosque.

All suspects are in police custody, and investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the syndicates, including receivers of stolen infrastructure. Commissioner of Police CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi commended the police teams for their vigilance.
