FCTA Offers Free Diabetes and Hypertension Tests to Workers

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) conducted a free medical outreach for its workers, offering diabetes and hypertension tests on May 6-7, 2026. The initiative, led by Mr.

Nanci Nathan, head of the civil service, aimed to help staff access essential healthcare services. Nathan emphasized the importance of regular medical check-ups, describing hypertension and diabetes as silent killers that can lead to sudden death without prior warning.

Dr. Adedolapo Fasaw from FCT Health Services urged workers to undergo regular medical screenings and adhere strictly to prescribed medications.

The outreach, which saw 400 participants with 270 receiving eyeglasses and other treatments, aligns with President Bola Tinubu's renewed health service initiatives. Civil servants were reminded of their health insurance entitlements, which include surgical services when necessary.

The staff clinic will remain open for civil servants needing ongoing medical care.
