Fenerbahce Blames Al-Ittihad for Failed N'Golo Kante Transfer Deal

Fenerbahce has accused Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad of causing the breakdown of a potential transfer deal for French midfielder N'Golo Kante. The Turkish club claimed that the transfer fell through due to errors made by Al-Ittihad in the FIFA transfer match system, preventing the completion of the swap deal involving Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

Despite reaching an agreement with the players involved, the transfer could not be finalized before the deadline. Al-Ittihad's failure to complete the transaction without providing justification led to the deal's collapse.

This incident occurred as Al-Ittihad saw the departure of French striker Karim Benzema, who joined Saudi Pro League rivals Al Hilal. Kante, a highly successful player with Chelsea, was set to join Al-Ittihad in 2023.

The statement from Fenerbahce highlighted their efforts to resolve the issue with FIFA, emphasizing the importance of completing the transfer.
