N'Golo Kante Joins Fenerbahce with Turkish President's Support

French midfielder N'Golo Kante, aged 35, has completed a move to Turkish club Fenerbahce from Saudi outfit Al Ittihad, with the intervention of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Kante, a two-time Premier League winner with Leicester City in 2016 and Chelsea in 2017, is set to join Fenerbahce in Istanbul.

The length of Kante's contract has not been disclosed. Erdogan's visit to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday played a crucial role in finalizing the transfer.

Fenerbahce, a 19-time Turkish champion, also signed Kante's compatriot Matteo Guendouzi during the winter transfer window. The club is currently in a tight battle for the league title, three points behind Istanbul rivals Galatasaray.

Fenerbahce will face Nottingham Forest in the Europa League knockout phase playoffs later this month.
