Fenerbahce Sacks Coach Tedesco After Derby Loss

Fenerbahce has terminated the contract of coach Domenico Tedesco on Monday, following a disappointing 3-0 defeat to their Istanbul rivals, Galatasaray, which occurred on Sunday. This loss has effectively dashed Fenerbahce's hopes of clinching their first Super Lig title since 2014, leaving them seven points behind their city rivals with only three matches remaining in the season.

The match was marked by a missed penalty by Fenerbahce's midfielder Talisca in the first half and the sending off of goalkeeper Ederson in the second half. Fenerbahce's statement regarding the dismissal included comments from sports director Devin Ozek and football coordinator Berk Celebi.

Assistant coach Zeki Murat Gole has been appointed to take over Tedesco's responsibilities until the end of the current campaign.
