Nigeria and Chad Collaborate on Abidjan-Lagos Highway Project Implementation

The Nigerian Ministry of Works, led by David Umahi, engaged in high-level discussions with a delegation from Chad, headed by Amir Idriss Kourda, to implement the Abidjan-Lagos Highway Project. The project aims to establish a direct transport link between Nigeria and Chad, focusing on a fluvial and lacustrine connection program.

Both countries expressed commitment to fostering collaboration to address common challenges and leverage the project's potential for economic growth. Key officials from both nations attended the meeting to fine-tune the modalities for the program's realization, including infrastructure projects and joint actions to preserve Lake Chad's ecosystem.
