FG Strengthens National Security for Nigerians Abroad

On Sunday, during the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union in Luanda, Angola, Gen. Christopher Musa, the Minister of Defence, assured Nigerians in the diaspora of the Federal Government's commitment to strengthening national security. Musa, speaking to the Nigerian community, emphasized President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to neutralizing security threats across the nation.

He highlighted efforts to enhance the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and partner security agencies, addressing challenges stemming from regional instability in the Sahel. Musa mentioned that comprehensive border management measures are being implemented to curb security incursions.

He reaffirmed the administration's resolve to integrate reliable data into national security strategies. Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, noted improvements in data protection and identity management, while Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, assured support for citizens' welfare and opportunities for national prosperity.
