FG Launches Housing Fraud Reporting Portal to Combat Real Estate Scams

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has launched a Housing Fraud Reporting Portal to combat real estate scams in Nigeria. The platform allows Nigerians to report fraudulent activities in the housing sector nationwide, providing a transparent channel for complaints and evidence submission.

Minister Ahmed Musa Dangiwa emphasized the importance of this initiative in ensuring professional and certified practices in the real estate industry. The portal aims to hold culprits accountable, with the government working closely with professional bodies, law enforcement agencies, and the judiciary to enforce regulations and prosecute offenders.

The goal is to restore trust in the housing sector, allowing Nigerians to invest in homes confidently and safely. The platform was developed in partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to empower citizens to report critical information on fraudulent practices.
