Tinubu's Aide: Kano Projects to Boost Economy and Jobs

Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Media and Public Enlightenment, emphasized the positive impact of the Federal Government's irrigation and hydropower projects in Kano State. During a tour of the Challawa Gorg Dam in Karaye Local Government Area, he noted that these initiatives would significantly improve the socio-economic conditions for residents.

The hydropower project, executed by the Kano State Government, aims to enhance electricity supply and agricultural productivity, creating jobs and driving sustainable economic growth. Abdulaziz explained that the irrigation project would expand dry season farming, increase crop yields, and improve farmers' incomes, generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

He also mentioned that the hydropower project is nearing completion, which will ensure reliable electricity supply and improve water treatment facilities for millions of residents. The delegation also inspected housing units and ongoing railway projects aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and stimulating economic development across Northern Nigeria.
