Trump Unveils $75M Plan to Rebuild Gaza Football Facilities

Trump promised to share further details soon, and later, FIFA released a statement outlining the initiative, which includes plans for a football academy, a 20,000-seat national stadium, and several local pitches. The statement did not specifically mention Trump's $75 million figure but emphasized fundraising efforts.

Infantino noted that the initiative was convened following ceasefire negotiations facilitated by the Trump administration in collaboration with Qatar and Egypt, aimed at ending two years of intense conflict in Gaza. The latest escalation was triggered by an attack from Hamas on October 7, 2023.
