Taxstreem Launches Platform for Simplified Tax Compliance

Tax compliance startup Taxstreem has unveiled a digital platform designed to assist Nigerian business owners in simplifying their tax compliance processes. Co-founder Kelechi Ib, a tax lawyer and advisor, announced the platform's launch on Tuesday.

The platform integrates directly with daily financial workflows and collects transaction data from various sources, including bank accounts, emails, WhatsApp, and business invoicing tools. It automates the calculation of applicable taxes and facilitates timely filing of tax returns, ensuring that businesses maintain accurate records for future audits.

The platform aims to address the everyday compliance challenges faced by Nigerian businesses, which often struggle with fragmented financial information and complex tax regulations. Kelechi Ib highlighted that the manual filing process is time-consuming and burdensome.

With a decade of experience in tax law and compliance advisory, Ib has led institutions including Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie and KPMG. Sam Ayo, a senior artificial intelligence and machine learning engineer, contributed to building the financial compliance regulatory intelligence system.
