Pillarcraft Launches UsawaConnect for E-Invoicing Compliance

Pillarcraft Cloud Solutions has unveiled the UsawaConnect platform, designed to help Nigerian businesses comply with the new e-invoicing tax regime mandated by the Nigeria Revenue Service. The Managing Director and Chief Executive of Pillarcraft, Bayod Agbi, emphasized that businesses must prepare for this shift, as invoices will no longer be mere documents but will require a digital structure with unique identifiers for submission and approval.

The transition to e-invoicing is expected to follow a phased approach, targeting large taxpayers with annual revenues above N5 billion and medium-sized businesses with revenues between N1 billion and N5 billion, with implementation expected to begin by July 2026. Businesses that fail to adapt risk having their invoices rejected, leading to payment delays and increased exposure during tax audits.

The UsawaConnect platform aims to bridge business systems with regulatory requirements, enabling seamless invoice generation and transmission. Additionally, Pillarcraft has introduced a partner program to assist accounting firms in providing e-invoicing implementation services to their clients.
