Quomodo Systems and Checkpoint Host AI Security Forum in Lagos

Quomodo Systems Africa, an indigenous Nigerian technology consulting and systems delivery company, in collaboration with Checkpoint Systems, conducted its inaugural customer engagement forum in Lagos, centered on Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled security solutions tailored for the oil and gas sector. The forum, themed ‘Secure Today, Resilient Tomorrow’, featured presentations from experts and executives from both companies, discussing the critical role of AI in enhancing security within the oil and gas industry.

Chief Financial Officer of Quomodo Systems Africa, Olufunke Tonye-Preghafi, stated that the decision to focus on the oil and gas sector stemmed from its significant impact on the Nigerian economy. She noted an increase in attacks targeting this sector, highlighting that smaller companies are often overlooked by attackers, who view them as stepping stones to larger targets.
