Police AIG Jimoh Strengthens Security Ties with IHS Nigeria

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, AIG Olohundare Jimoh, hosted a delegation from IHS Nigeria on a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening security collaboration. This visit was significant as it marked a homecoming for AIG Ahmed Iliyas (retd.), who previously served as the 26th AIG of Zone 2 from 2019 to 2021.

AIG Iliyas expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted IHS's role in telecommunications infrastructure, noting its operation of over 16,000 towers across Nigeria. He called for continued collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and IHS, particularly in security and information sharing.

AIG Jimoh acknowledged the importance of sustained engagement with corporate stakeholders and assured IHS of the NPF's commitment to providing a secure environment for legitimate businesses. He encouraged IHS to maintain communication with the police regarding security concerns.

The discussions also focused on crime prevention and improving safety for residents and infrastructure in Lagos and Ogun states.
