First Daily National Dialogue on Security Set for Abuja

The First Daily National Dialogue on Security is scheduled for Tuesday in Abuja, co-chaired by General Martin Luther Agwai (rtd), former Chief of Army Staff, and Senator Seriake Dickson, national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). The Minister of State for Defence, Dr.

Bello Matawalle, is also expected to attend, with General Lucky Irabor (rtd.), former Chief of Defence Staff, delivering the keynote address. Other confirmed speakers include Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, Colonel Milland Dikio (rtd.), Captain Warredi Enisuoh, Major Lancelot Anyanya (rtd.), Dr.

Yemi Onifade, Professor Yahaya Ndu, Mr. Onyekachi Adekoya, Mr.

Frank Tietie, and Mr. Mojeed Dahiru.

The dialogue aims to provide a non-partisan platform for discussions on Nigeria's security architecture, generating actionable recommendations to enhance national security, promote peace, and support sustainable development. Key stakeholders from various socio-cultural organizations, including Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Afenifere, and the Arewa Consultative Forum, have also been invited to contribute.
