First Daily National Dialogue on Security Set for July 2026

The First Daily National Dialogue on Security is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja. This event aims to create a non-partisan platform for discussions on Nigeria's security architecture, with the goal of generating actionable recommendations to enhance national security and promote peace.

Senator Douye Diri, the Governor of Bayelsa State, will be the Special Guest of Honour and present a paper titled, “Governors as Chief Security Officers in Nigeria: The Bayelsa Example.” The event will be co-chaired by General Martin Luther Agwai (Rtd.) and Senator Henry Seriake Dickson. General Lucky Irabor (Rtd.) will deliver the keynote address.

Other notable attendees include Dr. Bello Matawalle, Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, Colonel Milland Dikio, and several other experts from various fields.
