Oluremi Tinubu Advocates for Books in Education

During a meeting with U.S. Special Envoy Charles Harder, Nigerian First Lady Oluremi Tinubu stressed that books cannot be removed from schools despite global technological advancements.

She explained that reading books is crucial for children to broaden their knowledge base without the distractions of social media. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the Foster Future Together Global Summit in Washington, where various first ladies discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on children and adolescents worldwide.

Tinubu also mentioned that education is a pivotal scheme of President Bola Tinubu's administration, aimed at helping people understand the foundational importance of education. Additionally, she indicated that child nutrition will be a priority in upcoming nationwide campaigns.

Harder, representing the Best Future Generation, discussed the need to address issues affecting children globally, including food, nutrition, health, and protection from abuse.
