First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Visits Sokoto, Praises Sultan

On her visit to Sokoto, Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed appreciation for the hospitality she received and highlighted her long-standing desire to thank Sultan Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar for his support since the current administration began. Although she had previously visited Sokoto during the 2023 presidential campaign, she was unable to meet the Sultan at that time.

Senator Tinubu described the Sultan as a symbol of peace and unity, recalling his visit to Ile-Ife when she received a traditional title. She prayed for his long life and wisdom, as well as for peace and prosperity in Sokoto State and Nigeria.

Governor Dr. Ahmed Aliyu welcomed her, calling her visit an honor and acknowledging the positive impact of the Renewed Hope Initiative on vulnerable groups. The Sultan welcomed her warmly, recalling their long acquaintance and expressing gratitude for the favorable weather during her visit.
