Sokoto First Lady Supports Victims of Banditry Attack

On Tuesday, Hajiya Fatima Ahmed Aliyu, the Wife of the Sokoto State Governor, visited families impacted by a bandit attack in Kebbe Local Government Area. During her visit, she expressed condolences to the victims' families and initiated the distribution of ₦6 million, food items, and clothing materials to vulnerable women among internally displaced persons in Kebbe and Yabo Local Government Areas.

A total of 550 bags of rice, 400 bundles of Atamfa (clothing), and 100 cartons of spaghetti were distributed, with beneficiaries in Kebbe receiving 250 bags of rice and ₦3 million, while Yabo received 300 bags of rice and ₦3 million. Hajiya Fatima urged the community to remain united and patient, assuring them of the government's commitment to alleviating the hardships caused by insecurity.

The Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed, praised the First Lady for her humanitarian efforts, which aim to provide immediate relief to those affected by the ongoing security challenges in the region.
