Oluremi Tinubu Visits Sultan of Sokoto, Praises Leadership

On Saturday, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, paid a courtesy visit to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, at his palace in Sokoto. During the visit, she described the Sultan as a symbol of peace, unity, and national cohesion, commending his leadership for promoting harmony across Nigeria.

Senator Tinubu expressed her gratitude for the Sultan's unwavering support, prayers, and wise counsel to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration since its inauguration. She noted that the visit was long overdue, as she had previously been unable to meet the Sultan during the 2023 presidential election campaign due to his absence from the country.

The First Lady reflected on their long-standing relationship, recalling their first meeting in Dubai and the Sultan's attendance at a traditional title conferment in Ile-Ife. She prayed for the Sultan's good health and wisdom in leadership, as well as for lasting peace and unity in Sokoto State and Nigeria.
