ADC Slams Tinubu Government Over ₦1.15tr Fresh Loan Approval

The African Democrat Congress (ADC) has criticized the Tinubu government for approving a ₦1.15 trillion domestic loan, labeling it as fiscally reckless and inconsistent with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's earlier claims about Nigeria's revenue performance. Despite boasting about meeting non-oil revenue targets, the ADC notes that Nigeria's total public debt has increased to ₦193 trillion, with domestic debt at ₦80.55 trillion and external liabilities at ₦71.85 trillion.

The ADC demands transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline from the government to safeguard public funds and prevent further economic instability.
