The 2026 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations is set to take place in Morocco, expanding to 16 teams, which presents opportunities for several records to be broken. Nigerian players Francisca Ordega and Osinachi Ohale, both with five titles, aim to extend their record to six if Nigeria defends their championship. Tunisia's Mariem Houij holds the record for the fastest goal in WAFCON history, scored just 17 seconds into a match against Togo in 2022, a record that may be challenged in 2026.

Additionally, Nigeria's Perpetua Nkwocha's record of 11 goals in a single edition from 2010 and the overall tournament goal record of 66 set in 2024 could also be at risk of being surpassed.
