Chuey Chu Advocates for Flag Football Growth in Nigeria

Chuey Chu, a media personality and former civil engineer, shared his experiences transitioning from sports to media. He attended North Dakota State University, where he began volunteering in radio and MCing shows.

Chu emphasized that flag football is easier and cheaper to set up than American football, noting its rapid growth in Nigeria. He was among the first to promote American football in Nigeria, participating in the inaugural official game in Zaria and the first West African derby against a team from Ivory Coast.

He mentioned that both men and women are increasingly engaging in flag football. Despite coming from a family of scientists, Chu pursued his passion for sports and media, overcoming parental concerns about financial stability.

He also expressed his love for football, stating that while it remains his favorite sport, American football is gaining his attention. His experiences in various media roles allow him to connect with diverse industries, enhancing his event hosting skills.
