Eric's Journey: From Football to Inspiring Nigerian Youth

Eric, a professional basketball player who signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2013 after earning a scholarship to Temple University in Philadelphia, initially loved football, influenced by his father, Joseph Eric. His passion for basketball developed during a trip to the United States and with support from his brother, Stephen, and friends like Gbenga Jetawo and coach Chris Nomigo.

Eric is focused on creating opportunities for Nigerian youth through basketball camps, aiming to provide the necessary resources, facilities, and training to help them pursue their dreams. He believes Nigeria has the talent and athleticism to compete globally but lacks adequate resources compared to European academies.

Eric is committed to giving back to his community, inspiring children through his journey in basketball, and encouraging them to return home to impact their neighborhoods positively. He acknowledges that this year marks his 15th year in professional basketball and reflects on the importance of using his platform to uplift others.
