Flooding Submerges Delta High Court and Homes in Agbarho

On July 31, heavy rainfall overnight caused significant flooding in the Agbarho community of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State. The flood submerged the Delta State High Court and affected residential homes and business premises across several sub clans, including Orhokpokpor, Ehwere, Ughrwughelli, and Oviri.

The intense downpour overwhelmed local drainage systems, leading to widespread destruction of properties. Residents discovered their homes flooded, with furniture, electrical appliances, food items, clothes, and other valuables damaged.

As a result of the flooding, shop owners were compelled to suspend business activities, and both motorists and pedestrians faced challenges navigating the submerged roads, severely disrupting economic activities and restricting movement in the town.
