Flour Mills Nigeria Launches 5th Innovation Prize for Cassava Industrialization

Flour Mills Nigeria (FMN) has launched the fifth edition of the Prize for Innovation, emphasizing cassava industrialization in Nigeria. The competition aims to drive transformation in the country's agricultural value chain by promoting innovative practices in cassava product processing.

The theme for this year's edition is centered on advancing homegrown innovations in cassava. Winners in the SME and student categories stand a chance to receive cash prizes ranging from 100,000 to 5 million Naira.

The initiative seeks to empower local content development and sustainable food systems. FMN's Group CEO, Boy Olusanya, highlighted the strategic importance of the prize in strengthening cassava industrialization.

Entries for the competition will close on March 16, 2026. The initiative reflects FMN's commitment to fostering agricultural enterprise growth and enhancing local innovation capacity in Nigeria.
