Edo State and WACOT Renew Fertiliser Production Partnership

The Edo State government and WACOT Limited have renewed their nine-year partnership focused on fertiliser production and farmer support through the Edo State Fertiliser and Chemical Company Limited (ESFCCL) in Auchi. This partnership aims to strengthen food security and improve fertiliser availability, particularly in the South-South and North East regions.
WACOT, a member of TGI Group, stated that the collaboration, which began in 2017, is essential for enhancing domestic fertiliser production and providing quality agricultural inputs to farmers across Nigeria. The Auchi facility is strategically important for regional agricultural needs and national food security, producing tailored, crop-specific fertiliser blends.
Mr. Sadiq Kassim, President of the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria, emphasized the facility's significance. Mr. Naveen Chaurasia, Managing Director of WACOT Limited, reiterated the company's commitment to agricultural development and thanked the Edo State Government for sustaining the partnership.
The collaboration is expected to improve farmers' access to agricultural inputs and support smallholder farmers.
