Former ADC Candidates Join APC to Support Tinubu's 2027 Bid

A group of former candidates who contested under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from Zamfara, Plateau, Taraba, and Jigawa states has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). They announced their decision on Monday during a visit to APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda at the party's national secretariat in Abuja.

Dr Princess Aslam Aliyu Gambiyar, who led the delegation, stated that their departure from the ADC was motivated by their confidence in President Bola Tinubu's administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda. Yilwatda welcomed the new members and tasked them with grassroots mobilization efforts in their wards.

He also addressed opposition claims regarding neglect of Northern Nigeria by the Tinubu administration, citing ongoing road projects as evidence of commitment to the region. Yilwatda assured the defectors that their contributions would be recognized within the APC and indicated he would inform President Tinubu of their decision and recommend them for mobilization activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
