Francis Orbih Re-elected as Badminton Federation President

Francis Orbih has been re-elected as President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria for a third consecutive term, emerging unopposed with 13 votes cast during the electoral congress held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on March 2. In his acceptance speech, Orbih congratulated the newly elected board members and expressed confidence in their ability to advance the sport.

He acknowledged the federation's modest achievements over the previous years and emphasized the need to consolidate existing progress in Nigerian badminton to reach greater heights. Orbih called for unity and collaboration among stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the federation, stating that collective efforts are essential.

Shehu Dikko, the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, congratulated Orbih on his re-election and urged him to build on the gains made during his previous tenure while working harder over the next four years.
