Badminton Federation of Nigeria to Hold Elections in March, Highlights Athletes' Achievements

The Badminton Federation of Nigeria is gearing up for elections in early March to establish a new board, as announced by the federation's president, Francis Orbih. The federation's progress over the past four years was attributed to teamwork rather than individual efforts.

Eniola Bolaji, the first African to win a Paralympic medal in badminton, was commended for her achievements, including a recent gold medal in Egypt and her upcoming participation in the World Para Badminton Championship in Spain. Orbih also mentioned other players like Jeremiah Chigozi and Anu Opeyori, highlighting their training opportunities and sponsorships.

The federation expressed optimism in garnering support from the private sector, including partnerships with Yonex, for further progress.
