On Saturday, a road crash occurred along the Ife-Ilesa Expressway in Osun State, leading to the deaths of three individuals and injuring about 20 others. Sunday Adebayo, the Osun Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, stated that the accident was caused by speeding and dangerous driving, as the two vehicles involved collided head-on.

Adebayo reported that the deceased included two females and one male, while the injured comprised 11 females, nine males, and three children. The FRSC team arrived at the scene approximately five minutes after the incident.

The vehicles involved, a Toyota Hiace and another car, were taken to the nearest police division, and the deceased were transported to the morgue at Wesley Guild Hospital in Ilesa. The injured were taken to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital and Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in Ile-Ife for medical care.
