FRSC Applauds Special Marshals for Road Safety Efforts

On Thursday in Dutse, Jigawa State, Shehu Mohammed, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), praised Special Marshals for their significant contributions to road safety and the reduction of road crashes and fatalities in Nigeria. This statement was made during the investiture of Governor Umar Namadi as Patron of the Special Marshals of Nigeria and Safety Ambassador, with Mohammed represented by Kano Sector Commander Idris Lawal.

Mohammed emphasized the importance of Special Marshals in traffic management, public enlightenment, intelligence gathering, and accident prevention. He acknowledged Namadi's efforts in road development and safety, stating that his patronage would enhance collaboration between the state government, FRSC, and Special Marshals.

Governor Namadi, represented by Ahmad Sani, the Permanent Secretary of the Jigawa Ministry of Works and Transport, reiterated that road safety is a collective responsibility. The conference, themed “Repositioning Special Marshal for Greater Impact: Through Strategic Partnerships and Data Driven Road Safety Intervention,” aimed to strengthen cooperation among stakeholders.
