200 Special Marshals Inducted by FRSC in Abia

On Tuesday, 200 new special marshals were inducted into the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) at the Sector Headquarters in Umuahia, Abia. The state Sector Commander, Ngozi Ezeoma, congratulated the inductees, highlighting their commitment to safer roads and the preservation of human lives.

Ezeoma charged the new marshals to exhibit integrity, professionalism, and respect for all road users, emphasizing that their conduct should reflect the values of the corps. She encouraged them to collaborate with regular marshals and support the corps' initiatives aimed at reducing road traffic crashes in the state.

Ven. Kingsley Wachi, the State Coordinator for Special Marshals RS 9.3, described the Special Marshals as a legally empowered volunteer arm of the FRSC, extending their roles into communities.

The Commissioner for Transport, Chimezie Ukaegbu, delivered a keynote address on the significance of discipline and patriotism, stating that the Special Marshal uniform symbolizes responsibility and that integrity earns respect.
