FRSC in Abia Lists Major Causes of Road Accidents, Plans Safety Campaign

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Abia State has identified speed, tyre burst, overload, driver fatigue, and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol as major contributors to road accidents. Ngozi Ezeoma of the FRSC Abia State Sector Command announced plans to deploy personnel and special marshals to crash-prone areas within Abia during the Ember months.

The campaign will focus on addressing human factors and vehicle deficiencies, especially unsafe tires and speeding violations. Strict enforcement of traffic laws and mobile courts will be implemented to address critical offenses.
