Traffic Diversion on Kaduna-Zaria Highway September 6

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has declared a one-day traffic diversion on the Kaduna-Zaria axis of the A2 Highway scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026. The diversion will occur at DK825, Kwaranza Village, at the intersection with the Kaduna-Kano Rail Line, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

This temporary traffic arrangement is necessary to facilitate the inspection of railway bridge beams as part of the Kaduna-Kano Rail Modernization Project. During this period, only one lane of the dual carriageway will remain open to traffic.

The FRSC will deploy appropriate caution signs, cones, and diversion markers at the site, with patrol teams present to manage traffic and ensure road user safety. Motorists are urged to reduce speed, exercise extreme caution, and avoid overtaking in the diversion area.

The FRSC also recommends planning journeys and using alternative routes to minimize delays. Compliance with traffic control devices and instructions from FRSC personnel is strongly advised.
