FRSC Diverts Traffic on Kabba–Oye Highway Due to Damage

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ekiti State Sector Command, has implemented a traffic diversion on the Kabba–Oye–Efon Alaaye Highway due to damage to a section of the road near Oye town, resulting in significant traffic congestion and delays. This situation has exacerbated traffic issues along the Oye–Ilupeju Ekiti axis, where motorists have faced severe gridlock due to the poor condition of the roads.

In a traffic advisory issued by CC Sanya Adeoye, the Sector Commander of FRSC RS8.2 Ekiti Sector Command, motorists traveling from Kabba through Oye–Ifaki Road are urged to take alternative routes to avoid further delays. Those traveling from Abuja towards Ibadan and Lagos are advised to use the Okene route.

The FRSC has notified relevant authorities about the damaged highway, and urgent repairs are anticipated. Residents and motorists have called for prompt government intervention to rehabilitate the road and alleviate the ongoing traffic challenges.
