Wike Defends Fubara's Political Reconciliation Efforts

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, defended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, stating he committed no wrongdoing after reconciling with his political camp. Wike remarked that “there is no sin in politics,” asserting that Fubara's return to his political roots was a positive step that would enhance efforts to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027.

Wike made these comments on Tuesday while inspecting road projects in the Federal Capital Territory. He noted that Fubara had publicly declared his reconciliation during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Rivien Medical Industry project in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, where he endorsed the Rainbow Coalition and urged his supporters to back all coalition candidates.

Wike expressed satisfaction with the ongoing infrastructure projects in the FCT and stated that the administration is committed to completing inherited projects.
