Fubara Commends NLC, TUC for Industrial Harmony in Rivers

On Friday, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara praised the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) for their commitment to promoting industrial harmony within the state. He highlighted the importance of dialogue over confrontation in resolving labor disputes, stating that such an approach is essential for the progress of the state.

Fubara expressed gratitude to the civil servants for their contributions to the state's development and assured them that their welfare would remain a priority for his administration. He mentioned ongoing rehabilitation of the state secretariat complex, which aims to enhance the working environment for civil servants.

Fubara acknowledged the dedication of civil servants who have maintained peace and stability despite political challenges, ensuring that essential services like schools and hospitals remained operational. He reaffirmed that all salaries and pensions have been paid promptly, ensuring no senior citizen would be neglected.
