Brazil to Host 2027 Women’s World Cup in Eight Stadiums

The 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup will take place in Brazil from June 24 to July 25, 2027, featuring eight stadiums that previously hosted matches during the 2014 FIFA Men’s World Cup. The venues include Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, Estádio Nacional in Brasília, Estádio Mineirão in Belo Horizonte, Arena Castelão in Fortaleza, Estádio Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre, Arena Itaquera in São Paulo, Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador, and Arena de Pernambuco in Recife.

The Maracanã will play a significant role, hosting the opening match featuring Brazil on June 24 and the final on July 25, along with a quarter-final and a semi-final. Each of the eight host cities will stage all 64 matches of the tournament, with at least seven games in each city, including knockout-stage fixtures.

Notably, the Estádio Beira-Rio has a history with Nigerian football, having hosted Nigeria’s 3-2 defeat to Argentina in the 2014 World Cup.
