INEC Reveals 18 Presidential Candidates for 2027 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) published the final list of 18 presidential candidates and their running mates for the January 2027 general elections on Saturday in Abuja. The list, signed by Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony, includes candidates from 18 political parties, with 16 males and 2 females.

The male candidates are Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress), Atiku Abubakar (African Democratic Congress), Peter Gregory Obi (Nigerian Democratic Congress), Adewole Ebenezer Adebayo (Social Democratic Party), Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde (Allied Peoples Movement), Donald Duke (People’s Redemption Party), Sunday Chibuzo Okereke (Labour Party), Omoyele Sowore (African Action Congress), Sandy Ojang Onor (Peoples Democratic Party), Rufai Adekunle Omo-Aje (Action Alliance), Aliyu Abbas-Bin (Action Democratic Party), Kabiru Yusuf (Allied Peoples Party), Sunday Adenuga (Boot Party), Moses Olusoji Adebisi (Democratic Leadership Alliance), Nkem Esther Okereke (National Rescue Movement), Daniel Daberechukwu Nwanyanwu (Zenith Labour Party), and Peter Ada Agada (Young Progressive Party). The two female candidates are Ada Elizabeth Fredrick Okwori (National Democratic Party) and Nkem Esther Okereke (National Rescue Movement).

INEC also listed 14 male and 4 female vice-presidential candidates.
