Lamido Questions G-100 Coalition's Impact on Tinubu

Alhaji Sule Lamido, the former Governor of Jigawa State and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed skepticism regarding the G-100 opposition coalition's ability to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He characterized the coalition as an internal struggle among politicians who share a similar political lineage, noting that many members have previously been affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) or its predecessors.

Lamido made these remarks while responding to inquiries from journalists about the G-100's plans to unite opposition parties and influential figures behind a single presidential candidate to challenge Tinubu. He stated that he was not familiar with the coalition or its members, questioning their identity and relevance.

When reminded of prominent figures involved, such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and others, Lamido maintained that their political activities were not of concern to him, framing their differences as a familial dispute within the same political family.
