Gateway Air Launches Abuja-Lagos-Ogun Daily Flights

Gateway Air, the Ogun State-owned airline, has launched a new daily flight service connecting Abuja with Ogun State through Lagos, in partnership with ValueJet. This service operates on the Abuja-Lagos-Gateway route, linking Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to Gateway International Airport in Iperu.

The early-morning flight, scheduled for 6:30 a.m., is designed to accommodate travellers with tight schedules, including executives, industrialists, professionals, students, and visitors to family and friends in Ogun State. Omololu Majekodunmi, Managing Director of ValueJet, stated that the schedule was developed to meet the needs of flexible and efficient travel.

Engr. Olugbenga Dairo, Ogun State Commissioner for Transportation, noted that the new service addresses the increasing demand for improved air connections among residents and businesses. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance Ogun's connectivity and support its growth as a commercial and industrial centre, reducing reliance on lengthy road journeys.
