Gbajabiamila Appears Before ICPC in Fraud Probe

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, honored an invitation from the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) on July 20, 2026, to participate in an investigation concerning the alleged establishment of a fake government agency, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). Gbajabiamila arrived at the ICPC headquarters at 3:00 PM, where he provided an account of events and responded to investigative questions.

His appearance was part of a broader investigation initiated by President Tinubu on July 7, 2026, following allegations surrounding the operations of PFIPC. Jiti Oguny, Gbajabiamila's lawyer, confirmed that he voluntarily cooperated with the investigation.

The case involves Adeniyi Adeyemi, who is facing prosecution in a federal high court in Abuja on eight counts, including forgery and impersonation. Adeyemi allegedly presented falsified documents to operate the fictitious agency and is expected to return to court on July 27, 2026.
