Gbajabiamila Appears Before ICPC Over PFIPC Allegations

Femi Gbajabiamila, serving as Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, honored an invitation from the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) on July 20, 2026. He appeared at the ICPC headquarters in Abuja at 3:00 PM to provide a statement concerning ongoing investigations into the activities of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) and allegations surrounding a fake agency.

Jiti Oguny, Gbajabiamila's lawyer, confirmed that the Chief of Staff fully cooperated with the investigation and returned to his official duties following the questioning. This investigation was initiated under the directive of President Tinubu on July 2, 2026, to conduct a comprehensive probe into the PFIPC amid allegations of operations without legal backing, despite reportedly receiving budgetary allocations.

The ICPC has been mandated to conclude its investigation and submit a comprehensive report within 30 days.
