Nigeria to Launch National Single Trade Window on March 27

On March 27, Nigeria will launch the highly anticipated National Single Trade Window (NSTW) platform, a significant step towards transforming the country's trade ecosystem, as disclosed by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila during a stakeholder meeting at the State House in Abuja. This initiative, first launched by President Bola Tinubu nearly two years ago, aims to streamline trade procedures and enhance Nigeria's competitiveness.

Gbajabiamila praised the dedication of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Revenue Service, and Nigeria Customs Service in the project. Tola Fakolad, the NSTW coordinator, urged agencies to intensify support as the platform goes live in 23 days.

The first phase will enable online processing of import permits and electronic submission of cargo manifests. Key stakeholders, including Wale Edun and Jumok Oduwol, reaffirmed their ministries' commitment to the project, which is seen as a critical pillar of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The initiative will involve comprehensive training and pilot testing to ensure a smooth rollout.
