Global Regulators Approve Blueprint for Digital Ecosystems at ITU Symposium

Global regulators have endorsed a blueprint to enhance digital ecosystems for essential national services like healthcare and education. The guidelines were approved at the Global Symposium for Regulators 2025 organized by the International Telecommunications Union in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Best Practice Guidelines aim to drive regulatory innovation and build sustainable ICT ecosystems to ensure prosperity in the digital economy. Participants discussed pressing regulatory issues, including governance of artificial intelligence and sustainable digital transformation.

Doreen Bogdan-Martin of ITU emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and strengthening cooperation among regulators to bridge the digital divide and enable everyone to thrive in the digital society.
