Atiku's Camp Challenges Presidency on Tinubu's Drug Case

The camp of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar responded to the Nigerian Presidency's remarks regarding President Bola Tinubu's civil forfeiture case from 1993. Atiku's Special Adviser on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, stated that the government lacks the evidence and energy to engage in the debate.

He urged the Presidency, represented by spokesman Bayo Onanuga, to publish the requested documents instead of making public statements. Onanuga had previously accused Atiku of spending $1.2 million on U.S. lobbyists to revive a settled issue, describing it as an attempt to internationalize Nigeria's domestic politics.
